<p>Paytm, Mystore, Spice Money, and Magicpin are the four active buyer apps that customers would be able to use to make purchases from the sellers on the ONDC network, according to the statement. More than 18,000 of the network’s approximately 40,000 dealers now operate out of these five locations, which span over 200 cities.</p>
<p>In order to test live transactions with a select number of vendors and buyers while progressively increasing its reach, ONDC had its alpha roll-out in five locations in April 2022.</p>
<p>Prior to the pan-India roll-out, the key goals of the beta live launch are to give users their first taste of the open network, get real-time feedback, and test the network at scale.</p>
<p>“We hope that with this beta announcement, more and more companies will be inclined to join us and gain an early-mover advantage,” stated T Koshy, MD and CEO of ONDC. We also have the knowledge and chances to develop the network as we reach new customer areas.</p>
<p>Any network-enabled application will be able to explore and connect with local commerce across segments, including mobility, shopping, food order and delivery, hotel booking, and travel, thanks to ONDC, an open technology network built on open protocol.</p>
<p>Regardless of the various apps users use, the platform enables buyers and sellers to interact and do business online. To complete a transaction, buyers and sellers are not required to utilize the same platform or mobile app. They may still do business while using various programs.</p>
<p>The advantages of ONDC include access to more customers, improved product and price discoverability, autonomy over terms due to a variety of alternatives for being digitally visible, reduced operating costs, and additional possibilities for value chain services like shipping and fulfilment.</p>
