Today India is growing at the fastest pace in the world. Where the big countries of the world are standing at the door of recession, a lot of demand is being seen in India. This is the reason why companies from all over the world are eager to invest in India. They want to sell their goods here and want to take advantage of a big market. About 2 dozen international brands want to come to India this year. They want to open their stores here. This is the first time in 10 years that such a large number of global brands want to come to India. Global companies are getting attracted towards India due to the boom in consumption after Covid.

About 24 global brands want to come to India this year. Earlier this number was 1 in 2020, 3 in 2021 and 11 in 2022. Before the pandemic, around 12-15 brands used to come to India every year. Italian luxury fashion brand Roberto Cavalli, British luxury goods brand Dunhill and American sportswear and footwear retailer Foot Locker are in talks to enter Indian market.

Many chains want to open stores in India

Several chains such as Italy’s Lavazza and Armani Cafe, America’s Jamba and Australia’s The Coffee Club are also expected to enter India this year. “We expect food and beverage and some entertainment brands to enter the Indian market in 2023,” said Anshuman Magazine, chairman of India, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa, CBRE. He said, “Many international brands have already come to India this year.”

These brands have come to India

Over a dozen international brands, including Valentino, McLaren and Balenciaga, have made their India debut in the last few months. These brands are coming to India to take advantage of the increased demand for upscale labels post the Covid lockdown. Pottery Barn, Pret a Manger, Tim Hortons and Popeyes have also come to India.
