After French photographers mistakenly identified Urvashi Rautela as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the actress made her 21st appearance on the Cannes red carpet on Thursday night (local time), confounding spectators with her outfit selection.
The less polite referred to it as “hoodie couture,” while others claimed that she appeared to have hurriedly picked up a swath of aluminum foil from a kitchen to serve as a sort of canopy on top of her flowing black gown. Her adoring followers, however, insisted that she looked just like the “Queen of Cannes.”
She has reportedly appeared in the media wearing a gold mermaid gown by Roberto Cavalli, accessorized with coral lips and flawless hair, or as the embodiment of Cinderella in the past. Last year, it was evident that the Renaissance painter Botticelli's timeless masterpiece, The Birth of Venus, had served as inspiration for her ensemble.
She had on what seemed to be a shimmering green cloak earlier in the day, which she had apparently purchased from Valentino. She also had straight hair, little lipliner, and high heels. This outfit was created for an L'Oreal occasion. For more over 20 years, Aishwarya has served as the company's face.
