The Indian Premier League (IPL) had an exciting Sunday as the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians both won in dramatic fashion to change the course of the season. The five-time winners defeated the Rajasthan Royals while shocking the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at their home stadium by chasing down 201 runs off the last ball. This was the fourth-highest successful chase in IPL history.
With the Punjab Kings currently at 10 points and MI at 8 points after nine games, these two victories have undoubtedly upended the points standings. The team lead by Shikhar Dhawan is currently in fifth place, while CSK is still in fourth place despite the setback. Prior to yesterday's game, MI was in ninth place; however, they are now in seventh after the crucial victory. The top four teams right now are GT, LSG, RR, and CSK, although there isn't much separating the remaining teams.
