Dinesh Shetty Appointed President as Maharashtra Muay Thai Association Installs New Executive Committee

Mumbai, July 15, 2026: The Maharashtra Muay Thai Association officially installed its newly elected Executive Committee at a ceremony held at Payyade International Hotel, Kandivali West, Mumbai.

The event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the IOC-recognized combat sport in Maharashtra and was attended by athletes, coaches, officials, dignitaries and members of the media.

Mr. Dinesh Shetty was appointed as the President of the Maharashtra Muay Thai Association, while Mr. Balkrishna Shetty, a pioneer of Muay Thai in India, assumed the role of Secretary.

The newly installed Executive Committee comprises:

  • Patron:Dr. P. V. Shetty
  • Chairman: Rakesh Gopal Shetty
  • President: Dinesh Shetty
  • Senior Vice President: Gautam Shetty
  • Vice President: Sanjay Shetty
  • Secretary: Balkrishna Shetty
  • Joint Secretaries: Santosh Chormale and Sohel Shaik
  • Treasurer: Dheeraj Rai
  • CEO & Executive Member: Jyotii Seth
  • Executive Members: Pallavi Shetty, Dimple Maniare, Vikas Menon and Vikram Padbidri

Speaking on the occasion, President *Mr. Dinesh Shetty* said, “We are committed to strengthening Muay Thai across Maharashtra by nurturing young talent, promoting grassroots development and creating greater opportunities for athletes to compete at the national and international levels.”

Secretary *Mr. Balkrishna Shetty* added, “Our focus will be on expanding the reach of Muay Thai across Maharashtra through structured training, quality competitions and a strong support system for athletes, coaches and officials.”
